São Paulo hosted a meeting between cultural authorities from Brazil and Cape Verde to expand collaboration between the two countries. The meeting highlighted literary exchanges, museology, the preservation of cultural heritage and artistic training.

The Minister of Culture of Brazil, Margareth Menezes, and the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries of Cape Verde, Augusto Veiga, led the meeting held last Thursday (20). The meeting reinforced the intention to strengthen the historical ties between the countries and broaden the dialog with Portuguese-speaking African nations.

Menezes emphasized the Brazilian government's commitment to resuming connections with Africa, highlighting the importance of this partnership for mutual cultural development. They also discussed Cape Verde's participation in cultural events in Brazil, such as the Brazilian Creative Industries Market (MICBR), which will take place in Fortaleza in December.

The collaboration between Brazil and Cape Verde aims not only to strengthen institutions, but also to enhance the shared cultural heritage, which is reflected in the artistic and historical diversity of the two countries.
